Shakhtar arrived in Bologna: two days before the start in the UEFA Champions League

Shakhtar Donetsk has arrived in Bologna ahead of their UEFA Champions League group stage opener against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian champions flew out from Bergamo, Italy, on Monday afternoon and checked into their hotel in Bologna in the early evening.

They will hold their final training session at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Tuesday evening before the big game.

Shakhtar will be looking to make a positive start to their Champions League campaign after finishing bottom of their group last season, including heavy defeats to Real Madrid.

Inter Milan will be a tough opponent, but Shakhtar will be confident of getting a result if they can play to their full potential.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 9pm local time on Wednesday.
